Malach is a sweet girl with such a sad story.  She was very neglected at a ranch.  While other horses were getting fed, Malach was always left behind.  Afraid to fight for her food, she lost a tremendous amout of weight and came to us emaciated.  Additionally, she was most like used as a brood mare, and during a difficult birth must have had a horrible time.  We don't mean to get graphic...but we don't know what happen to her, but her rectum is unfortunatly permanently wide open. This causes her to be incontinent and also to attract many flies. We work hard to keep her comfortable and the flies away from her.  She is not in any pain and has gained back about 200 pounds.  She is doing well and loved by many!
