Gus came to us quite a while ago, he was one of the first horses we took in when moving to Temecula.  His owner passed away and his children didn't want anything to do with him, or his friend Rocco the goat.  Both him and Rocco had lived together for about ten years before coming to us.  Gus is our second oldest horse at 38 years old, he is an Arabian.  We feed him quite a lot of grain along with his alfalfa 3 times a day to try and keep the weight on him.  As people say in the horse industry "he is a hard keeper", no matter how much we feed him he still has a skinny butt!
