Why Donate to Villa Chardonnay?

  • We are the largest Equine & Animal Sanctuary in Southern California with over 200 animals
  • Established in 2003, we have saved nearly 1000 lives
  • Villa Chardonnay primarily takes in animals with "special needs". The average age of our horses is 28, many suffer from Cushing's disease, some with cancer, blindness, neurological disorders or they are simply arthritic and should no longer be ridden.
  • Many of the dogs rescued come from the Asian dog meat markets, most have disabilities or illnesses.
  • Villa Chardonnay is a leader in the rescue community and supports other equine rescues by taking in their elderly horses
  • All donations are tax deductible

Scarlet is a sweet mare who was terribly neglected and abused. She was emaciated upon arrival at Villa Chardonnay. We heard of the neglect and went directly to the owners property. They knew they were breaking the law and we demanded that Scarlet be turned over to us. They oblidged, knowing they didn't have the funds to feed or care for her.

Villa Chardonnay quickly started her on nutritional feed, probiotics, supplements and a lot of love. She was very skittish at first, but started coming around after about 2 weeks. Villa Chardonnay is here to care for the MANY animals who cannot care for themselves. We are a sanctuary and often support other rescues by taking in horses that cannot and should not be ridden or adopted.

98% of your donations go directly to the care of animals most in need. We take the ones no one else will...We are an all volunteer company and have no administrative salaries.

YOUR donation will have a direct impact on these animals and our community, please donate today!
