'TIS THE SEASON...TO WEAR FLY MASKS...
SHOO FLY DON'T BOTHER ME!!!!!
Time is flying and so are the flies swarming around Villa and our horses and donkey’s eyes. The pestering flies cause eye infections which can be torturous for these poor creatures, specially for donkeys if not protected. Recent record-setting rainfall has been a boon for California flora, sprouting "super blooms" which have sparked wildflower excursions from Anza, Borrego to Orange County. But that rising tide has lifted all lifeforms in the environment, including some not so popular ones: flies. We at Villa like to be proactive and avoid unnecessary and costly visits to the vet.
This is why we have our fly mask drive campaign every fly season. You might think from each season we have left overs but most are torn from them being tugged on or pulled off by the others. We are in need of 180 fly masks which comes to a total of $2970. If you could help by sponsoring one horse or more it would be immensely appreciated by all of our babies at Villa.
